You might want to add 'your hand', as well as other body parts. Yours of others', of course :B.

There are peoplw who check what temperature the water or even oil has by *sticking their fingers in*.

Those people are insane.

Could be worse. One of my Aunts caught the kitchen on fire while boiling water. Twice. She is no longer allowed any where near the kitchen.
