yvi: Dreamsheep in Germany's national colors (Dreamsheep - Germany)

So, I used to be a beginning cook. In fact, until one year ago. Since then, I have been learning cooking from my boyfriend and would probably be classified as intermediate.

Still, not cooking much does not mean one can't have tasty things. This is something I just made for myself because it's easy, fast and doesn't leave a mess. Oh, and it's yummy.

Scrambled eggs
with mushrooms and peppers

Difficulty: 2/5 (plain scrambled eggs would be less difficult)
Mess-factor: 2/5
Time needed: 2/5 - about 10-15 minutes

Needed: Food (1 portion)
* one red pepper
* three eggs - or however much you need for your hunger factor
* mushrooms - I am only familiar with the ones we get here (Germany), so I would either take ~10 medium-sized white mushrooms or about a small cup of chanterelles. It really depends on what you like and how much you want to eat. There's no set amounts in this recipe
* salt
* pepper (the spice kind)
* dried parsley, about half a handful
* oil or butter

Optional: Food
* four large spoonfuls of milk
* some basil

Needed: Dishes
* one sharp knife
* one large plate
* one medium-sized (non-stick) pan
* one spoon
* one fork
* one cup
* one spatula

Optional: Dishes
* One of those things

Step-by-step

1. If you have fresh mushrooms, wash them carefully. If they are very small, just leave them as they are, if you have bigger mushrooms, for example white mushrooms, cut into slices with sharp knife. Either use the plate or the wood thing for that.
2. Put pan on stove, turn on to medium heat, put a few spoons full of oil or a chunk of butter in it
3. Slice pepper open, take out core and slice the rest into cubes. Use plate or wooden thing for that.
3. When you are done, the pan should be hot. Throw in the mushrooms. Stir a bit (~1-2 minutes). Don't worry, they won't burn.
4. Put pepper cubes into pan. Go to the sink, wash off plate if you used that for cutting the pepper. Come back, stir pepper+mushroom a bit.
5. While that fries, get the cup and crack the eggs into the cups. Add milk with spoon, if desired. Add a bit of pepper and salt. Stir the pepper + mushroom. Use spoon to stir the eggs so that they look yellow instead of white+yellow. Stir the pepper + mushroom. Add parsley (and basil) to eggs, stir some more.
6. When the pepper + mushroom has fried for ~3-4 minutes (it won't burn, don't worry), add eggs to the pan. Put heat on low.
7. Stir while the egg is solidifying until you like the look of it (some people like it yellow, some like it brown, I prefer yellow). Turn heat off, put meal on plate.
8. Apply as much pepper and salt as you like, eat with fork :)

No images, sorry.
